For 10 years, the LGBTIQ+ Political Leaders Conference of the Americas and the Caribbean has been key in politicizing LGBTQI+ communities in the region and increasing the visibility of our electoral participation.
It is an essential space that brings together leaders from various sectors, strengthening support networks, promoting the exchange of knowledge, and creation of alliances to advance the defense of LGBTQI+ rights.
10 years after our first gathering, we return to Lima to collectively craft a critical stance against the antidemocratic trends that threaten the advancement of our rights
Over the course of 3 days, we will reflect on how to remain PRESENT in our democracies, focusing on everything that makes us POWERFUL, and how we will achieve equality TOGETHER.

The VII LGBTQI+ Political Leaders Conference of the Americas and the Caribbean is limited to a maximum of 500 participants. To apply, you must complete your application form by February 19, 2025.
Participation in this conference is entirely free; however, it does not include transportation or accommodation. Please ensure you are available on the event dates and able to travel to Lima before applying.

his conference is open to LGBTQI+ individuals from the Americas and the Caribbean who are already involved in or wish to engage in politics. Whether you’re just starting out or have prior experience, what matters most is that you share our commitment to building more diverse and inclusive democracies.
A selection committee will review all applications to ensure this conference reflects the diversity and intersectionality of our communities. You will receive an email with the decision in April, so there’s no need to contact us before then to ask about the status of your application.

Absolutely! At the end of the form, you’ll find a section to apply for a partial or full scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded depending on the resources we are able to raise (fingers crossed 🤞). You will receive a response about your scholarship request after your application has been confirmed.
